Our story
Eleni Papastavrou, founded 3rd Floor in the summer of 2013. Her friends, who up until then were the happy recipients of her handcrafted creations, encouraged her to do so. It was a life altering decision; Eleni didn’t take long to reach. Her degree in Business Administration, and her innate talent for handcrafting, granted her the knowledge of how she must proceed. So, in August 2013 she embarks on her adventure! The city is practically empty of its habitats… Her friends, are also away, enjoying their holidays in various summer destinations, while Eleni stays behind…She is about to realize her dream! Several phone calls to accomplished friends who would later become her team, countless visits to different locations bring her to the 3rd floor of an old building… and that is how it all began!
3rd Floor is about the independent, dauntless, bold but sensitive woman, who defines her own identity. Our inspiration behind the brand! Each collection, is a unique artistic expression, of her uniqueness.
An ode to her sensuality, a confirmation of everything that she is… and everything that she still aspires to be! In a world created from earthly materials, clear semiprecious stones, crisp designs, and simple elegance.
We, at 3rd Floor never stop working, we never stop creating, we never stop learning! We don’t like making plans for the future but we most definitely DO set goals! We aim at never ever losing our drive for work, nor our passion for creativity.
We aim at always creating something different. Jewelry created with artistry and love which will always take us one step further...
When it’s time for a new collection to come out, you can literally breathe the air of creativity in our workshop! The smell of the materials used blends with our enthusiasm for that which is about to come.
Neither toil, nor the disappointment of not being able to produce a design as envisioned, can bring us down because we are always awarded by the complete, end result. We are the 3rd Floor Team, we make jewellery because we absolutely love it and our story definitely goes on…!

Choose a job you love and you
will never work a day in your life
Born and raised in Athens, Greece, I fell in love with fashion and everything fashion related at a very young age as my mother, a professional seamstress, initiated me to the wonderful world of creating.
I also love challenges, my dog Tom (aka 3rd Floors’ mascot) and travelling to faraway places. Such trips can very well change one’s life, as did mine, after a (12 year) trip to Kenya.
It is said often said, that you start off for somewhere but wind up somewhere else. Well, that about sums it for me. Even though I had all my business plans well laid out (or so I thought), living amongst the tribes of Maasai and Kikuyu changed everything.
I soon embraced their belief that the secret of happiness is working with your hands and it took but once for me to begin a new chapter in my life.
On a handcrafted, wooden table next to these people who make a living off what their hands create, I too, crafted my first piece of jewellery and… I haven’t stopped sinceIn 2013, my new (and everlasting) love resulted in the foundation of 3rd Floor Jewels.

Don’t let anyone define
your worth
Born in California, U.S.A. by a Greek mother and Jamaican father, I grew up speaking both Greek and English as my native languages. That could very well be the reason I can speak for hours upon end!
So, I studied Marketing/Public Relations, which earned me a long term “service” in the field of advertising. I then proceeded to work as the Communications Officer for a renowned music production house and here I am today, Communications Officer for 3rd Floor Jewels and I couldn’t be prouder!

You can mimic the result
but not the creativity
I’m Kostas. As a child, my greatest love was one for cars. Especially race cars! The speed, the adrenalin rush, was something simply mesmerizing. That, of course, until something completely different, with absolutely no suspense or even an iota of adrenalin, won me over! You know what that was?
The art of jewellery making! I started out as an assistant in a small silversmith workshop. That was followed by 24 years as an artisan for a jewellery manufacturer. There, not only did I learn how to master gold and metals but I also mastered the true art and techniques of handmade jewellery.
Today, I am here. Member of a tight and absolutely creative team, which has its own unique way of re-defining the art of handcrafted jewellery! And I couldn’t be happier!

Being creative is not a hobby,
it’s a way of life
I was born in Athens, but raised in Kefalonia, from where I descent. I am currently a college student, pending graduation as a Civil Engineer. However my love for handmade jewellery lead me to also pursue and successfully graduate with a diploma in “Handmade Jewellery Technique and Design”.
A diploma which obviously brought my good fortune, as I am now a member of 3rd Floor’s Team! A close bonded team, whose exquisite techniques and passion for excellence are, for me, nothing less than a college degree!
